SUBJECT:	Funding Availability to Support Planning Projects Enhancing Youth Connections and Access to the One-Stop System
Purpose:	To alert Local Areas of the opportunity to apply for planning grants.
Background:	Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) 16-00, issued March 19, 2001, is available today via the Internet. TEGL 16-00 announces the opportunity for WIA Local Areas to apply for federal planning grants to fund projects that will enhance the connections between youth and the local One-Stop system. The TEGL provides the scope of the planning project, indicates required actions upon grant completion, and details the selection criteria.
